How this actually works

Ordering & delivery

There is no cart on this website and no card form. You message, she confirms the piece is still free, she sends an invoice or bank details, and it posts once payment has landed. That is the whole mechanism, written out.

Ordering, step by step

  1. One

    You message

WhatsApp, Instagram, or the contact form — whichever you already have open. Tell her which piece and roughly where it is going.

  2. Two

    She confirms it is free

Usually within a day. If it has already gone she will say so immediately and tell you what else is close to it.

  3. Three

    Invoice or bank transfer

She sends a simple invoice with the piece, the postage and the total. New Zealand bank transfer, or a card link if you would rather. Nothing is taken automatically.

  4. Four

    She packs and posts

Once payment lands, it is wrapped and posted — usually the next working day, always with a tracking number sent to you.

  5. Five

    It arrives

Open the box while the courier note is still fresh, and tell her if anything is not right. She checks in a few days later either way.

A piece is only held once you say yes. Until then, if two people ask about the same set on the same evening, the first to confirm gets it — she will tell you straight away rather than let you wait and hope.

Paying

  • New Zealand bank transfer is easiest, and what most people use.
  • A card payment link is available on request, through her invoicing software.
  • For commissions: half to begin once you approve the sketch, half before it posts.
  • No deposit is taken to enquire, and no money is held on this website — it has no payment system at all.

Packaging

  • The bowl travels inside the pot’s carton, each piece wrapped separately.
  • Paper and cardboard, no plastic bubble wrap and no foam beads.
  • Gift orders are wrapped in eucalyptus paper with a hand-written tag, and the invoice is emailed rather than put in the box.
  • The story line for the piece is written on the tag, so it travels with it.

Delivery

Everything goes tracked. Prices in NZD, added to your invoice at cost.

New Zealand — urban$12 · 1–2 working days
Tracked courier, signature not required. Auckland deliveries often arrive next morning.
New Zealand — rural$18 · 2–4 working days
Rural delivery surcharge included in that price. If your address is rural and the checkout of any other shop has ever surprised you, this is the honest number.
Australia$34 · 7–10 working days
Tracked international. GST or duty is not usually charged on a parcel of this value, but that is the courier’s decision, not hers.
Further afieldQuoted · 2–4 weeks
She will weigh the parcel and send you the real number before you commit. Concrete is heavy — to the UK or North America the postage can approach the price of the piece, and she will say so plainly rather than bury it.
Collection in AucklandFree · By arrangement
You are welcome to collect from her in person, which also means you get to see whatever else is on the bench that week.

If it arrives broken

It is her problem, not yours

  1. OnePhotograph the box before you unpack any further — outside, inside, and the piece where it sits.
  2. TwoSend those to her on WhatsApp or by email the same day if you can. Keep the packaging until it is sorted; couriers ask for it.
  3. ThreeShe lodges the claim with the courier. You do not deal with them at all — that part is hers.
  4. FourShe replaces it, remakes something in its spirit, or refunds you in full including postage. Your choice.

Because the pieces are one of a kind, an identical replacement usually is not possible. In that case she will offer either a new piece made in the same spirit or your money back in full, including what you paid for postage — your choice, and she will not push you towards either one.
